The East African country of Tanzania was my home for more than 14 years. During this time, I was fortunate to learn a great deal about the people, the culture and the rich and colourful history.
After relocating back to Australia in 2019, I wanted to be able to share the beauty of this amazing country and so Parachichi Trading was realised.
The 'Parachichi' (Swahili) or 'Avocado' (English) is an exotic and ancient fruit; it represents trade, tradition and the well-travelled; the parachichi also represents the opportunity to plant new things.
With all this in mind, the aim of Parachichi Trading is to give back to the continent that has been my home for so many years...to the people who graciously shared their country.
The products provided through enterprises that partner with Parachichi Trading, are all unique and produced by hand with the utmost care and attention to quality. With this in mind if you would like to place a large order, we are more than happy to accommodate but it will take 6-8 weeks to produce and ship.
Parachichi Trading strives to support African communities through ethical and fair-trade companies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
We have partnered with many African start-ups and encouraged special projects in communities.
This means when you purchase any of these unique wares the funds go directly back to the communities that produce them.
